There is plenty of scope to include details in your design, such as contrasting shades and sizes of aggregates to pick out features and create visual effects.

Borders & Thresholds

A simple course of brick or bonded brick slips along the threshold to your drive, footpath or along borders with neighboring properties can create a pleasing frame for your design. Composite brick slips are made from a dense mixture of resin and aggregate granules and simulate the look of block paviors or granite sets - simple yet striking.

Inlays

For the more adventurous amongst you, it is very easy to incorporate logos, motifs, house numbers and just about any design you can imagine using contrasting natural or coloured gravel.

First a mask is prepared of the chosen inset detail, once the main area has been dressed, the mask can be removed to reveal a fresh surface, onto which, a new layer of resin is applied and dressed with a contrasting aggregate.

It is also possible to combine elemental paving such as stepping stones and other details using slate or flags.

Where this type of inlay is required, the flags or stone inlays are firmly secured using a bedding mortar and the resin bonded aggregate is dressed to the edge of the inlay to create the effect.
